PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain miniaturization of a device or the like in the distortion compensation device that compensate ternary distortion produced from its amplifier. SOLUTION: The distortion compensation device consists of a 3dB coupler Q1 having, e.g. 4 terminals. The 1st terminal P1 receives a signal inputted to or outputted from an amplifier, the 2nd and 3rd terminals P2, P3 are each provided with a ternary distortion generator that generates a ternary distortion signal with an amplitude and a phase so as to cancel the ternary distortion produced in the amplifier in accordance with the input signal, and the 4th terminal P4 synthesizes the ternary distortion generated from the ternary distortion generator of the 2nd and 3rd terminals P2, P3 with the input signal and outputs the resulting signal. Thus, the ternary distortion generated from the amplifier can be compensated.
