PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deviation of an orbital path of an electron beam generated in an radiation member of an electron source at a whole area and to prevent a brightness reduction and a color deviation. SOLUTION: A conductivity is imparted to a spacer A in an image indication area bearing a high voltage applied between a metal back 1019 of a face plate 1017 and a rear plate substrate 1011 and preventing charging. Whereas, a resistance of a spacer C at the outside of the image area is made higher than that of the spacer A in the image indication area. It is not necessary to relieve charging at an area receiving no influence of the charging and an insulative spacer C is used to inhibit a leak current. A conductivity is imparted to the surface of a spacer B at a place receiving an influence of the charging even at the outside of the image indication area. When a distance between the face plate 1017 and the rear plate substrate 1011 is defined as d, since a distance range of an outer side 2d of the image indication area is liable to receive an influence of the charging, a spacer having a conductivity to prevent the charging is arranged.
