PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device having an anode terminal structure for reducing the manufacturing cost, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: In a vacuum container composed between a pair of facing plates 1, 11, electrons are radiated from an electron source formed on one plate 1 to an image forming member formed on the other plate 11 to form an image. An airtight lead-in terminal 101 connecting the image forming member on the other plate 11 is arranged through a terminal lead-in hole 103 formed on one plate 1, and the airtight lead-in terminal 101 is held and fixed so as not to project from the outer surface of one plate 1. A terminal holding member 102 for holding and fixing the airtight lead-in terminal 101 on one plate 1 is fixed by an adhesive sealing means 200, so as not to project from the outer surface of the plate 1.
