<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit coded data without causing a transmission delay and without the need for a buffer of a large capacity. SOLUTION: In the case of transmitting an image signal and an audio signal, first an image signal received via an image signal input terminal is given to an image block generating section 201 of an image coding section 101, where the signal is coded and blocked into a plurality of blocks. Then the image stream that is divided into blocks is fed to a management data provision section 202, in which block head information denoting whether or not an image block is a head block of one image pattern and data consecutive information denoting whether or not a block is consecutive are given to the image stream.</p> |
