PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the heating time for brazing and to prevent the fusing of a polyethylene(PE) resin coating by providing a setscrew 12 arranged on the outer peripheral surface of a connector body with notched parts allowing the insertion of the coated fiber part of a cable in its longitudinal direction. SOLUTION: A submarine apparatus cable 7 has the insulation coating 8 of the PE resin and a metallic pipe 9 constituting the coated fiber part. The connector body 10 is brazed 11 to the metallic pipe 9. An optical fiber is arranged in the brazed metallic pipe 9 and the through-hole of the connector body 10. The setscrew 12 with annular notches is arranged in the outer peripheral part of the connector body 10. The notches are formed at the setscrew 12 in its longitudinal direction. These notches have the width to allow the passage of the metallic pipe 9. At the time of brazing, the setscrew 12 is removed and the connector body 10 is heated. |
