PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charger wherein a contact used for charging a secondary battery can be surely connected electrically to a charging terminal. SOLUTION: A charger has an installation face 2 for installing a case 4 with a built-in secondary battery frontward. The case 4 with a built-in battery is installed frontward on the installation face 2, and a contact 10 of the installation face 2 is brought into contact with a charging terminal 12 installed on a rear face of the case 4 to charge the secondary battery. In front of the installation face 2, an insertion pocket 3, which opens upwards to insert a lower part of the case 4, is tiltably disposed. At a disconnected position where a rear face of the insertion pocket 3 is separated from the installation face 2, the case 4 is inserted into or removed from the insertion pocket 3. At a charging position, where the insertion pocket 3 having the case 4 in it, is tilted closer to the installation face 2, the charging terminal of the case 4 is brought into contact with the contact 10 of the installation face 2 to cause the battery to charge. |
