METHOD FOR SCREENING BIOMOLECULE ACTIVITY REGULATOR

A method for screening a low molecular weight substance which binds to a specific site of a biomolecule and thus may be usable as a starting material in developing drugs. This method comprises screening a substance which undergoes an interaction with a specific area of a biomolecule having an activity to thereby regulate the activity through the following steps: (a) the step of selecting a recombinant undergoing an interaction with the above-described biomolecule from a peptide library consisting of recombinants each presenting at least one of various peptides on the surface; and (b) the step of selecting a substance inhibiting the interaction between the recombinant thus selected or the peptide presented by this recombinant and the above biomolecule.
