The invention concerns a moulding unit for an extrusion-blow moulding machine comprising a two-part mould, each mould-half (12, 14) being borne by a mobile support (16, 18), and wherein the moulding unit (10) includes, between at least on the mould-halves (12) and its associated support (16), compensating means (30) thrusting the half mould transversely towards the other mould-half. The invention is characterised in that the mechanism (24) moving the supports is linked at least with said associated support (32) via elastically deformable means capable of compensating the deformation of the support (15, 32) produced by the forces applied by the compensating means (30).
