TELEPHONE CHARGE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

A system comprising a portable telephone (1), a telephone card (1') both having a registered identification number of a connection telephone company and a registered user ID, shop processing terminal (30), a POS terminal (40) both installed in a shop and managing the portable telephone and telephone card, and a managing host computer (100) of the telephone company, all being interconnected through communication lines. Dealt-with goods information abo ut the portable telephone are sent to the host computer and stored therein. Whe n a telephone call by the portable telephone is made, the host computer subtracts the telephone charge from the amount of money prepaid for telephon e charge according to the goods information. It is possible to pay a telephone charge when a portable telephone or telephone card is used at a shop accepti ng them.
