CLIENT/SERVER TYPE MULTILINGUAL RETRIEVAL METHOD AND SYSTEM DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conduct multilingual retrieval by performing the retrieval after arranging a retrieval processing environment by previously downloading all the parts or one part of an external character dictionary registered in a server to a client terminal simultaneously or every time in the unit of external character. SOLUTION: An external character registering part (object module for client external character registration) S4 registers character information returned by a server S in a character information storage area C3 of a client terminal C. Besides, an input supporting part (object module for client external character input) S5 converts the input information to a character code while utilizing the character information in the client terminal C. The external character registering part C5 and the input supporting part C6 can be used for the client terminal C by respectively downloading an external character registering part S4 and an input supporting part S5 on the side of server S from the server S.
