PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost spectrum analyzer without a memory means for storing a measured signal, capable of displaying a peak of the measured signal without a flicker even in a short sweep time. SOLUTION: This spectrum analyzer has a frequency mixer 2 to which a signal to be measured and an oscillation signal from a variable oscillator 12 are supplied, a detector 5 to which a frequency signal from the frequency mixer 2 is supplied; a D/A converter 14; a cathode-ray tube 16 including a pair of vertical deflection electrodes V1, V2 to which a detection output voltage of the detector 5 is applied, and a pair of horizontal deflection electrodes H1, H2 to which an analog output voltage of the D/A converter 14 is applied; and a control means for controlling a frequency division ratio of a variable divider 10 to obtain a local oscillation signal whose frequency varies in a stepped state from the variable oscillator 12, and for supplying a variable digital signal to the D/A converter 14 to obtain the analog output voltage whose level varies in a stepped state from the D/A converter 14. |
