<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a protective element, having stabilized characteristics and a low resistance by improving the adhesion between a polymer and a plated electrode through the formation of the electrode on the surface of the polymer after the surface is roughened through chemical or physical treatment. SOLUTION: A high polymer composition is prepared by kneading a polymer component, composed of a crystalline resin with conductive powder composed of a metal carbide. Then an organic peroxide is added to and kneaded with the kneaded product and the product is press-molded into a sheet. The polymer surface of the sheet is roughened to about 1-100μm, by subjecting it to chemical or physical treatment on the polymer surface. After roughening, an electrode is formed by performing electroless plating and electroplating. Therefore, a protective element having stabilized characteristics and a low resistance can be obtained, by setting the adhesion between the polymer section and electrode section very high.</p> |
