PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical cable connection in a power/light composite underwater cable that can reduce the outer diameter as much as possible. SOLUTION: In the connection of an optical cable in a power/light composite underwater cable, a power cable line core and the optical cable are twisted. The connection is provided with a cylindrical body 3, embedded at the outer periphery of the power/light composite underwater cable, and an insertion hole 4 of the optical cable being formed on both the end faces of the body. In the inside of the body, the connection part of optical fiber and a cavity part 5 for accommodating surplus length are formed.
