PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active matrix type liquid crystal display capable of attaining high display quality and reducing power consumption even when a driving method such as performing an interlaced scanning is to be used with respect to pixel electrodes and to provide a driving method therefor. SOLUTION: The driving method of this active matrix type liquid crystal display is the driving method of an active matrix type liquid crystal display which is provided with a display part by plural pixel electrodes (p) which are arranged in a matrix shape and a scan driver interlacingly scanning at least pixel electrodes of one part of these plural pixel electrodes (p) and, in this method, when at least pixel electrodes of one part are to be interlacingly scanned in a first scanning order such as from odd-numbered rows to even- numbered rows in a first frame, they are to be interlacingly scanned in a second scanning order such as from even-numbered rows to odd-numbered rows in a second frame succeeding to the first frame.
