PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain tuner characteristics a simple constitution, without wiring an antenna around by making it possible to operate a tuner part provided separately from a device main body, from the device main body. SOLUTION: With a control data signal that the microcomputer interface signal 6 from the control microcomputer of a system stereo device main body gives, a tuner block 12 is controlled to perform AM/FM switching, a program is selected, and with a microcomputer interface signal 35, its response is detected to receive demodulated character data of RDS communication included in a composite signal output 30. Boscially, an FM antenna terminal is connected to an FM simple antenna and to an FM external antenna terminal. Consequently, the reception sensitivity is improved by placing the tuner block 12 at a distance from the device main body at a place where the antenna sensitivity is high, for example, at the window. Furthermore, only the cable is wired between the tuner block 12 and device main body, and the device can be laid out according to the user preference.
