PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque sensor capable of eliminating time-consuming work and difficult assembling work with few variations in detection characteristics. SOLUTION: When torque is applied for a steering wheel and relative rotation occurs in an input shaft 1 and an output shaft, an inner ring 7 and displacing members 11 as driving members are relatively rotated. By the action of cam mechanisms C constituted of the protruded parts 8 of the inner ring 7 and the inner-diameter surfaces 13 of the displacing members 11, the displacing members 11 are radially displaced. By this displacement, the amount of gaps S between the displacing members 11 and a detecting coil 18 is changed. The detecting coil 18 detects torque on the basis of changes in magnetic resistance associated with changes in the amount of gaps S. |
