The positive join elements (10) on the rail (4) consists of a series of rail perforations having rounded or beveled edges and the driver slide (5) is fitted with supporting rollers (15) to ride on tracks (16) along the top of the rail (4) and so carry the slide (5) on this rail. The electric drive motor (7) for relative slide and rail movement is arranged on the slide (5). The rail (4) is joined directly to the garage door as opposed to the slide which is immovably fixed and is fitted out with a positive drive element (12) engaging the positive elements (10) on the rail (4). Positive drive is by pinion gear for preference using perforated rail as rack. |
