PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk cartridge in which the invasion of even extremely fine dust into a cartridge case is prevented with great certainty. SOLUTION: This disk cartridge is provided with a recording disk, an inner case 2 for rotatably housing the recording disk, an outer case 3 which houses the inner case 2 so that the inner case 2 can be taken in and out and is provided with the entrance for the inner case 2 and a lid member opening and closing the entrance, and further a control knob 17 attached to the outside of the outer case 3, a driving side tooth part 20 which is attached to the inside of the outer case 3 and is linked with the control knob 17, and a driven side tooth part 21 which is attached to the inner case 2 and is engaged with the driving side tooth part 20 so that the tooth part move away from or nearer to the driving side tooth part 20 and is moved to a prescribed position. The driven side tooth part 21 is engaged with the driving side tooth part 20 in the state that the inner case 2 is housed in the outer case 3, and the driven side tooth part 21 is moved up to a desired position by moving the control knob 17 via the driving side tooth part 20.
