PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a developing device capable of obtaining required jet stream even with an existing pump, free from clogging or processing ununiformity and capable of attaching desired photographic property. SOLUTION: The development is carried out by jetting a treating liquid from jetting holes 44 to the emulsion surface of a photosensitive material. The diameter of each jetting hole 44 is controlled to 0.7 mm to be hardly clogged and capable of stably jetting the processing liquid over a long period and hardly generating processing ununiformity. The interval between the jetting holes 44 in the width direction is controlled to 4.5 mm and the jetting holes 44 is arrayed in 3 zigzag ways in the transporting direction of the photosensitive material. That is, the intervals between the jetting holes 44 is controlled to 1.5 mm in the view from the transporting direction of the photosensitive material. The desired photographic property is attained without generating the processing ununiformity even with a large-width photographic material by substantially making close the interval in the width direction of the photosensitive material.
