摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zoom lens and an image conversion device by which excellent image forming performance can be obtained and an image can be excellently converted when it is applied to a telecine device an the like. SOLUTION: A 1st optical system forming the macro optical system, a 2nd optical system forming the variable power optical system producing a variable power action and a 3rd optical system forming the anamorphic converter optical system whose optical magnification within surfaces mutually orthogonally crossed by including an optical axis are respectively different are arranged in turn from an object side. The 1st optical system is provided with a 1st lens group G1 having positive refractive power. The 2nd optical system is provided with a 2nd lens group G2 to a 5th lens group G5. The 3rd optical system is provided with a front group GF having negative refractive power in a horizontal direction as a whole and a rear group GR having positive refractive power in the horizontal direction as a whole. When the variable power action is executed to a telephoto end from a wide angle end, the 2nd lens group G2 to the 5th lens group G5 constituting the 2nd optical system produce the variable power action because the 3rd lens group G3 and the 4th lens group G4 are moved along the optical axis.
