Concrete reinforcing steel corrosion protection is carried out by coating the concrete with a corrosion inhibitor and water-proofing silane and/or siloxane gel mixture. Corrosion protection of steel reinforcements in reinforced concrete constructions comprises coating the constructions with a water-proofing and inhibiting gel consisting of migrating corrosion inhibitors mixed with water-proofing silanes and/or siloxanes to form a gel-like pasty mixture. Preferred Features: The mixture also contains a thickener and a solvent diluent.
