<p>An ink jet printer equipped with a unit capable of forming dots separately. By ejecting ink droplets separately to a plurality of portions within a pixel, the amount of ink per portion is reduced, and hence its penetration in the depth direction of a printing sheet is suppressed. When a constant amount of ink is used, the total area of dots formed separately is larger than the area of a single dot, and the density expressed is higher. This makes it possible to realize multi-gradation expression without changing the total amount of ink ejected to the pixel.</p> |
