PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor for reducing the number of parts and assembly man-hours for reducing costs when fixing the ceramic separator to the casing and for reliably protecting a detection element from the leakage of water or the like without damaging the sealing property between a casing and a ceramic separator. SOLUTION: A connection part C for integrating a ceramic separator 18 is formed at a means S for sealing a ceramic separator 18 and an outer cylinder member 14 in contact with the outer surface of the ceramic separator 18 and the inner surface of the outer cylinder member 14. By integrating the sealing means with the ceramic separator via the connection part, the number of parts can be reduced and assembly man-hours can be reduced, thus reducing costs. Then, since the ceramic separator and the sealing means are integrated for finishing with sufficient dimension accuracy before assembly, thus reliably preventing the leakage of water or the like to the side of a detection element and maintaining sealing property for a long time. |
