PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease cost by eliminating the production process of a black mask and to obtain a color filter for an optical display device having excellent appearance during displaying. SOLUTION: The color filter outer frame 15d which covers the nondisplay face of an optical display is provided with outer frame color filter pixels 15b1, 15b2, 15b3 using at least two of the three colors used for the color filter pixels 15a1, 15a2, 15a3 corresponding to the respective display pixels in the color filter display part 15a. The area ratio of the outer frame color filter pixels 15b1, 15b2, 15b3 having different colors from one another is determined to be different from the area ratio of the color filter pixels 15a1, 15a2, 15a3 corresponding to the colors used for the respective outer frame color filter pixels 15b1, 15b2, 15b3. |
