<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the unpleasant feeling that is caused by an undesired report by inhibiting selectively the reports by a report means according to the types of program related information. SOLUTION: If the application included in the additional information data separated at a separating part 23 is an application whose display cannot be inhibited, the application is stored in an execution memory 28a and then immediately executed. If a user inhibits the report by using an icon on the type of an application stored in a preservation memory 28b, the icon is not displayed on the screen of a TV set 5. In other words, the icon display or non-display of an application is set on a display screen after an icon display/non-display selection screen is displayed on the TV set 5. Thus, the icon displays can be selectively inhibited according to the types of applications.</p> |
