PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner miniaturized in an optical scanning direction and a laser printer. SOLUTION: In this optical scanner provided with a rotary mirror 8 reflecting a laser beam emitted from a laser beam source 6 and a photoreceptor drum 9 scanned with the laser beam reflected by the mirror 8; the photoreceptive surface 14 of the drum 9 is curved in the shape of a hourglass, and the reflection surface of the mirror 8 is curved protrusively. It is conceivable that the surface 14 of the drum 9 is formed in the shape obtained by linking the apexes of two cones and a polygon mirror is adopted as the mirror 8. A laser printer 1 is constituted by housing the optical scanner in a case 2. |
