TRANSFER BELT AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer belt which is capable of uniformly achieving the specific volume resistivity required for the transfer belt without using conductive fillers, has permanent elongation in a practicable use range and is recyclable. SOLUTION: The thermoplastic elastomer of the transfer belt composed of the thermoplastic elastomer used for a transfer device of a copying machine is the thermoplastic elastomer which is obtained by reacting an active hydrogen group-containing compound and polyisocyanate compound in the presence of a polyvinyl chloride polymer, thereby forming polyurethane and has phase reparation structure. Its specific volume resistivity is 106 to 1011Ω.cm without adding the conductive fillers. This thermoplastic elastomer is molded to a belt form and the belt is elongated in at least a 3% circumferential direction and is heated and annealed, by which permanent strain may be reduced to the practicable use range.
