PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable stable supply of a lubricant on a sliding surface between a lap and an end plate by using carbon dioxide as heat medium while allowing efficient separation of the lubricant. SOLUTION: An oil separator 60 is provided between a first heat exchanger 30 and a decompressor 50 to return a lubricant separated and recovered by the oil separator 60 to a suction pipe of a scroll compressor 10 through a return pipe 61. Carbon dioxide is lowered in temperature with an action of a first heat exchanger 30 but will not be liquefied, hence helping to improve separation efficiency of the lubricant. The lubricant separated and recovered is also supplied to a compression chamber together with a heat medium, thereby enabling stable supply of the lubricant onto a sliding surface between a lap and an end plate.
