PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably obtain an excellent image possessing constant image density by suppressing the change of the density of an image forming the occurrence of density unevenness even in the case that the interval of an image carrier and a developer carrier opposed through a necessary interval fluctuates while executing development by applying AC voltage to the carriers. SOLUTION: Developer 2 is led to a developing area opposed to the image carrier 1 through the necessary interval (d) by the developer carrier 11, and the AC voltage consisting of rectangular waves is applied to the developer carrier 11 from a power source 14 so as to execute the development. In this case, a resistor 15 and a rectifying element 16 are connected in parallel between the power source 14 and the developer carrier 11, and also the rectifying element 16 is connected in a direction to cut off a current caused by the AC voltage consisting of the rectangular waves applied in a direction in which the developer 2 is fed to the image carrier 1. |
