PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide communication apparatus which is constituted of a radio communication equipment and a pager receiver as one body and can keep the radio call waiting state for a long time by detecting the residual capacity of a battery to automatically perform switching to a pager reception part in the case of the residual capacity smaller than a prescribed value. SOLUTION: Relating to a communication apparatus which is provided with a ratio communication part 2 ands a pager reception part 1 and switches power supply from a battery 3 by a power switching part 15 to select and use only one of the radio communication part 2 and the pager reception part 1, the residual capacity of the battery 3 is detected by a battery residual capacity detection part 16 to output a detection signal, and only the pager reception part 1 is selected when the residual capacity of a battery 3 is smaller than a prescribed value. Since the pager reception part 1 is automatically selected when the residual capacity of the battery 3 is made smaller than the prescribed value, the pager reception part 1 and the radio communication part 2 can be efficiently switched to keep the radio call waiting state for a long time. |
