<p>A timber harvesting machine (10) including a chassis (11) supported by endless tracks (13, 14). A platform (38) is mounted on the chassis (11). A platform is rotatable on the turntable (25) in an annular bearing race on the turntable. A boom (50) is mounted on the platform (38) and includes a main boom mounting pin (72) which is pivoted on one side of the axis of rotation of the platform. A boom actuating cylinder (81) has a mounting pin which is mounted on the other side of the axis of rotation and directly over the annular bearing race (63) regardless of the rotational position of said platform relative to said turntable.</p> |
