<p>A cooling apparatus and method for cooling a structure (38, 122, 174) using boiling fluid acted upon by centrifugal force. The cooling apparatus has an actuator (60, 144) with a shaft (52, 129, 178), a heat transfer member (42, 124, 180) with a heat transfer surface (50, 110, 123) and a fluid passageway connected to the shaft (52, 129, 178) and in thermal communication with the structure (38, 122, 174). The cooling apparatus can be used to cool the anode (38, 122, 174) of an x-ray tube.</p> |
