Remedies for joint diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis which contain as the active ingredient a complex (associate) of hyaluronic acid with zinc. Compared with hyaluronic acid and zinc (i.e., constituents thereof), this complex synergistically inhibits the proliferation of synovial cells and thus regulates the production of a histoclastic enzyme MMP-9 produced by synovial cells.
