PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receptacle connector and a plug connector of a butt connection type capable of adjusting characteristic impedance and preventing crosstalk between signal contacts. SOLUTION: A high frequency signal contact 30 is arranged on both ends of low frequency signal contacts 20 in the array direction. The high frequency signal contact 30 is sandwiched by a ground contact 50, an interval between the ground contact 50 and the high frequency signal contact 30 is changed, and a facing area of the ground contact 50 and the high frequency signal contact is changed so that characteristic impedance of the high frequency signal contact 30 is easily adjusted to be 50Ω.
