EL PANEL AND DISPLAY DEVICE USING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten connection time and prevent connecting failure in an EL panel using many leads such as a segment luminescent EL panel and provide a display device using the EL panel. SOLUTION: The EL panel has an EL luminescent element part 2 containing a transparent electrode layer, a phosphor layer, a reflection insulating layer, and a back plate layer; a back plate lead connected to the back plate layer through a power supply part; and a transparent electrode lead connected to the transparent electrode layer through a power supply part, and positioning holes 4 or a positioning cut-out part in wiring is installed in at least one lead 3 of the back plate lead and the transparent electrode lead. The EL panel is positioned by fitting protrusions 17 on a mounting board 16 side to the positioning holes 4 or the positioning cut-out part.
