PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oscillation type electric continuity tester with a speaker for testing an electric continuity state by use of an output of an oscillator so as not to confuse bypass continuity with true continuity. SOLUTION: This electric continuity tester with a bypass continuity preventing function is used for testing an electric continuity state with a sound by use of an output of an oscillator. In conventional oscillator, an amplifier circuit is used, and oscillation is generated by feedback. The oscillator of this tester uses a micro-inductor (a micro-coil) 1 and a capacitor 2 as components for the feedback. When a conventional wire continuity tester is applied to an electric circuit wherein wire between points A, B is broken, a current through points B, C, D, A causes the illusion that the wire between the points A, B is continuous. In this case, this electric continuity tester makes no sound or makes a varied sound to allow easy decision whether the continuity is present or not.
