PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electric and electronic components such as an ignition coil which have a long life and a high durability suitable for a higher packaging density and a higher integration. SOLUTION: An ignition coil consisting of a central core made of magnetic material, a primary and a secondary coil wound around the central core, and an external core installed around the coils is sealed with a polymeric liquid of a metathesis polymeric cycloolefin compound having a viscosity of 3 P or below at 23 deg.C. As a result, an ignition coil sealed with resin of a low elastic modulus having a bending elastic modulus of 500 MPa or below at 23 deg.C can be obtained.
