SYNCHRONIZING CIRCUIT FOR MULTI-CARRIER RECEPTION DEVICE AND MULTI-CARRIER RECEPTION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distinct and sure synchronizing signal in a multi-carrier reception equipment to which a guard interval(GI) is inserted. SOLUTION: Difference signals DI and DQ between signals I and Q subjected to quadrature demodulation and signals I' and Q' obtained by delaying them by delay circuits 111 and 112 are calculated by subtraction circuits 121 and 122. Difference signals DI and DQ are obtained by integrating absolute values of differences between signals I and I' and between signals Q and Q' for a period corresponding to a length Tg of the guard interval(GI). The sum DI+DQ is calculated by an addition circuit 13 to more easily detect a peak to be a synchronizing signal.
