Device for dividing a flow of particulate solids into partial flows

The process for separating a current (Z) of fine solid particles into separate currents (T1, T2) with a predetermined solids content comprises fluidising the solid particles in the current. It is then separated while reversing its flow. The solids content of the currents is regulated by generating a density gradient in one of them (T2). This may be achieved by injecting a gaseous diluent (V). An Independent claim is included for a device for carrying out the process.
