Apparatus and process of electrodeposition of metals

The proposed apparatus comprises a mounting frame (1) on which there is placed a tank (2) containing electrolyte (3) with anode and a rotating cathode system being immersed therein. The cathode system being connected to a power supply unit consists of a driving shaft (5) being rotatably mounted in the tank (2). On the driving shaft (5) there is fastened a supporting cylinder (11) on the jacket (12) there is fastened by means of slots (21) at least one jacket cathode (20) encompassing the supporting cylinder (11) and being in contact therewith. Within the region of the slot (21) there is attached to the supporting cylinder (11) a hollow body (24) having inside a contacting space (25). In the contacting space (25) there are disposed ends (22, 22ˆ) of the jacket electrode (20) passing through the slot (21) and being contacting space (25) fastened by means of contact means. The invented process is characterized by immersing both the anode and the jacket cathode in electrolyte contained in the tank, whereby the jacket cathode is first attached to the supporting cylinder in which a contacting rod is inserted. Subsequently the supporting cylinder is mounted on a rotating shaft flange, whereupon electric current is applied to both the anode and the cathode through the mediation of an electrical conductor and the contacting rod.
