PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a communication equipment that transmits a two-dimensional image picked up by an image pickup device such as a CCD camera small in size, to reduce the power consumption of the communication equipment, to attain high resolution of the communicated image and to build-up the communication equipment into a micro machine. SOLUTION: Image information outputted from a CCD camera 10 is written sequentially to a 1st memory 51 to a 3rd memory 53 for each horizontal scanning line, and a data transmission section 46 sequentially reads image information by one horizontal scanning line from the 1st memory 51 to the 3rd memory 53 and outputs the information to an RF circuit 30 while converting the information into packet data for data communication at the same time. A blanking period of a horizontal synchronizing signal HP and a period of a pixel clock PCK are selected so that a time of one period of the horizontal synchronizing signal HP is not shorter than a time required to transmit packet data by one horizontal scanning line by the data transmission section 46.
