PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability by allowing click feeling at an operation of a slide-type or rotation-type switch device. SOLUTION: A vertical plate portion 20 is provided on the inner peripheral surface of a rotation knob 15 of this switch device, and a vertical rib 20a is provided on the rear surface of the vertical plate portion 20. A housing 13 is provided with a circular-arc wall portion 19 using an axial core of the downside rotation knob 15 as its center, and grooves are formed at positions at left 18 degrees and right 18 degrees on the outer peripheral surface of the wall portion 19. When the downside rotation knob 15 is turned left or right by 18 degrees, left or right switch 18 is turned on, and the rib 20a engages with the groove to transfer a clear click to a hand of an operator.
