EXTRACTING A TIME-SEQUENCE OF SLIDES FROM VIDEO

An apparatus and method for generating a set of slides from a video. A slide is automatically identified or detected (363) in video frames of a video-input stream (361). A slide generator (367) generates an output slide based on the sequence of video frames containing the still images. A digitized representation of the slide is generated based on the video frames of the video-input stream.
