PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a print controller, a controlling method and a medium having a print control program recorded therein in which original color can be reproduced faithfully regardless of variation in the print environment, e.g. the temperature, when a specified calibration pattern is printed and color balance shift is corrected based on the calibration pattern. SOLUTION: A print controller 20 controls a printer 30 to print a calibration pattern by providing ink of each color onto a print medium at a specified concentration and detects the print environment, e.g. the temperature, when the calibration pattern is printed thus acquiring the deviation in the quantity of each color of ink being used from a reference value in a specified print environment. In the subsequent print operation, difference in a reference print environment is corrected to the difference in a current print environment based on the difference between current print environment and reference print environment and a print data is corrected to eliminate the difference after correction before being outputted to the printer 30. According to the arrangement, original color can be reproduced faithfully regardless of variation in the print environment, e.g. the temperature. |
