<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adsorb a component to be adsorbed in gas to be treated which is contained in an environment in which an article containing an adsorbent is used. SOLUTION: A component to be adsorbed is adsorbed by adsorbents 13, 14 by reacting the component in the presence of water. An adsorbent substance comprising at least one compound selected from the group consisting of monovalent phenols, polyvalent phenols, and the derivatives of these compounds and the chemical adsorbent 14 containing an water absorbing substance which supplies water to the adsorbent substance during the reaction are incorporated.</p> |
