PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent printed matters with paper sheets that are interposed therebetween stuck thereto from being fed to a printed matter recording device by providing a paper sheet removing means for carrying and removing the paper sheets and a paper sheet detection means for detecting that the paper sheets are stuck to the printed matters carried by a printed matter carrying means. SOLUTION: When an intermediate sensor 128 is put ON, operation of a paper sheet removing means (mechanis) is started. Then, operation of a printed matter carrying means (printed matter pad unit) 81 to carry printed matters 4 and operation of a paper sheet removing mechanism to remove paper sheets 5 interposed between the printed matters are carried out. A paper sheet pad unit 191 is raised by the pulse number 1. Whether a metal sensor 232 is put ON or not is confirmed. If ON, it shows that the printed patter 4 is stuck to a rear surface of the paper sheet 5 taken out. A pair of rollers 153, 154 have at their outlets a discharge sensor 172 and a paper sheet detection means (paper sheet sensor 9) 174, 174. The sensor 174 confirms that there is not paper sheet 5 stuck to the front or rear surface of the printed matter 4 biten by between discharge rollers 153, 154.
