PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily measure the sleeping posture of a subject in a short time without adding a load to the subject. SOLUTION: This device has a vertical support 2 having a contact part 1 to make contact with the back of the vertical posture of a subject, and a prescribed number of measuring elements 5 to independently make contact with a prescribed number of lateral positions of the back of the subject in contact with the contact part 1 are provided on the vertical support 2 in such a manner that the positions are changeable vertically and in the direction corresponding to the longitudinal direction of the subject. According to this, the space between the back part of the subject separated from the contact surface of the contact part 1 and the contact surface can be detected every vertical position.
