PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the hindrance in a handling work of an interlining cloth and applique in a post-processing step even in the case of applying an adhesive to the interlining cloth beforehand, enable the formation of a bonding face by a harmless means such as spraying of water with an atomizer in the case of inducing the adhesive action on the back face of an applique and prevent the adhesion of a tacky adhesive to a machine sewing thread in the case of sewing with a sewing machine after bonding an applique 11 to a cloth to be decorated. SOLUTION: An interlining cloth 2 having a thermally bondable adhesive 3 on one surface and a water-soluble adhesive 4 on the other face is laminated to the back face of a front cloth 1 and the obtained basis cloth is cut to form an applique. Water is applied to the back face of the applique to induce tacky adhesivity and the applique is pasted on a prescribed part of a decorating cloth and fixed by sewing.
