<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser beam slit device to slit a sheet having a film layer formed on a surface of a flexible base sheet. SOLUTION: A laser beam slit device comprises a means to travel T a sheet 40, a laser beam oscillator 10, a laser beam shaping means 20 to shape the laser beam into a shape of the specified rectangular section, and an optical system 30 to irradiate the laser beam D on the sheet. The laser beam shaping means has at least one mask provided with a rectangular opening, the laser beam passing through the mask is shaped to the specified rectangular section, and the traveling sheet is irradiated with the laser beam to be slit. Alternatively, the laser beam may be shaped to the shape of the specified rectangular section by allowing the laser beam to pass through a cylindrical lens in place of the mask.</p> |
