<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To utilize heat effectively, when solid refuse is gasified and then ash in the refuse is converted into molten slug through high temperature combustion, by dehydrating the solid refuse prior to gasification and performing evaporation oxidation by jetting dehydrated moisture into high temperature combustion exhaust gas after the solid refuse is melted. SOLUTION: A constant quantity feeding unit 2 for feeding solid refuse (a) to a fluidized bed gasification furnace 1 comprises a tapered screw conveyor where the solid refuse (a) is squeezed and dehydrated before being fed to the fluidized bed gasification furnace 1. The solid refuse (a) is subjected to thermal decomposition gasification to produce combustible gas and fixed carbon component which are then fed to a melting furnace 3. They are combusted in primary and secondary combustion chambers 4, 5 at an air ratio of 1 or thereabout to melt ash and to discharge molten slag from a discharge opening 7. Moisture obtained from the constant quantity feeding unit 2 through dehydration is jetted into high temperature combustion exhaust gas delivered from a tertiary combustion chamber 6 thus performing evaporation oxidation.</p> |
